The fresh cold smell of the polar north, it made the lungs feel refreshed. Here out in the quiet artic was just what he needed. Her stretched his tiny body along an ice flow, his wings out stretched absorbing what little sun there was. Either way out here away from dirt, and most other dragons; this was the place where he wanted to be. He laid his head down; his large jutting tusk just barely dipped into the frigid waters.
He shivered as the salty texture washed over the sensitive tusk; salt water making its way through the dentin. A Polar Serpent horn was used as weapon; but also as a sensory organ. It heightened the sense of taste; a Polar Serpent could taste blood in the air for miles around.
This was part of the reason why he liked to keep his so clean; it always left a nasty taste in his mouth when it was dirtied. He rolled over on his back, stretching out allowing his belly to absorb the sun. It was nice to be away for a bit from the consistent chatter of the Leader of the Polar Nest. Wintercross could talk and ear off when he wanted to.
However winter would be approaching the more southern regions soon enough; maybe it would be nice to travel down for a day or two…

Aodhan arrives with the wind with his large wings gliding over the airflow. He prefered to take naps outside rather than the caves. How else can one enjoy the sun? Besides, the caves got cramped sometimes. As he approaches his normal basking place, he sees a small polar serpent there. However, he can quite make out which one from his height.
As he descends down beside the other dragon, he sees that it is Beltane. Beltane seemed like he was normally busy, and busy dragons always tried to get him to do work. They never took time off. Had everyone found his resting spot? Perhaps it was time to find a new one… However, he couldn’t just fly off in the other direction. Beltane probably already spotted him by now.
He makes a graceful landing to the right of Beltane. With an open mouth grin, he smiles at the other dragon. “Hello, Beltane! What bring you out out on the gorgeous day? Looking to enjoy the sun?” he asks, looking up at the sky. With a slight yawn, he stretches out and lays down. “It is definitely not the kind of day to stay cooped up in the caves.”

He slowly began to doze of; the sun was shining bright today. It was nice…and then…THUD…Beltane jumped at least three feet in the air and yelped in a high pitch squeak. He blinked a few times before his eyes rested on the giant brute of a dragon. He stared up at him…it was Aodhan; the large wind walker. Beltane himself was hardly bigger than just one of his massive legs.
”….I was enjoying it…”
His lips pursed into a frown; the sunny spot he had was now blotted out by the massive shadow of the large dragon.
”Has Lord Wintercross talked you out of the nest as well?”

Aodhan begins to close his eyes, oblivious to the fact that the smaller polar serpent is now in his shadow. The feeling of the sun hitting his scales was relaxing. “Hmmm… I would have figured you be busy managing things around the cave. I think I see you running around more that standing still.”
He opens an eye as Beltane mentions Wintercross. “Talk me out of the nest? He is normally spitting fire at me when I see him.” Aodhan looks around as if mere mention of his name would be enough to summon Wintercross to this place. However, the idea of the Lord Wintercross the Alabaster coming out to enjoy the sun seemed unlikely. Reassuring himself that the nest leader was no where near them, Aodhan lays his head back down. “So no… has something got him particularly upset this day?” he asks.
