The strong always preys over the weak, even if it means large numbers. However, even large numbers are subject-able to become meat. Thus what happened with the swarm of Vex's closing in on the group below. How naive of those little Vex's... Too preoccupied with the land and their prey to look behind them in the sky above. Like a black shadow, something big had chosen the swarm as it's prey.
HISSSAHHHHHHHHH!!
The Doomfang bellowed, it's black scales and large stretched out wings matched the dark cloud of vex's as it closed in. The hungry dragon flown into the center of the swarm. Jaws snapping and intaking about a hundred or so of the small dragons in one single intake. It's head thrashing about as it tried to devour anything that came into it's jaw's clutches. The Doomfang's eyes red like burning embers and what flesh did cling to the beast's bones, it too seemed to match it's owners eyes. Of course little vex's would be a starter of a meal.. However, that is not what drew him to this island. Even if the vex's were a causality of hunger from flight, they were not what he was after. Oh no, what brought him here to this wretched island was none other than a familiar scent. One that drove him off his original course and into a swarm of yummy snacks.
What was that smell?! That delightful, delicious smell that called to him?
Then behold, his red eyes locked onto the group below.

Despite the situation Aria was amused by Nilda’s brief shot at humor, or at least that’s what she assumed it was. However the vampire swarm was coming near….until whoosh a black mass blotted out the sky. If possibly Aria paled even more at the site of the red glow that burned within the massive beast.
”Fuck it all too bloody hell…..one problem solved and replaced with a bigger one”
She felt its red gaze fall upon her, her hair stood up against her neck. She began to slightly panic.
”SACRIFICE THE DRAGON RUN LIKE A BITCH!!...wait better idea”
She grabbed the nearest warrior and pulled them into her spot to let them take the weight of the dragon while she ran up to the colorful beast and slapped its face multiple times.
”Wakey wakey or your bakey!”
….whether that worked or not would remain to be seen but for now there was a large beast none of them had hopes of really out running. She grabbed the sword on her back and removed it from the sheath. Its silver blade gleaming and a small glow coming from the sapphire. Aria let the blade rest in her hand as she stepped forward looking up at the giant beast as it came closer.

Verix started to stirr as he felt the slaps to his face, sound.. There was sound, roars.. Verix's eyes shot open as he wrestled himself free by pushing the humans away from him adn taking flight. He flapped away from them as he roared at the large dragon. "Hail. What nest might you come from?" He asked. His words to the other dragon might be a tad slurred, he was still waking up after all.

As her father tells her to make for the blacksmith shop, Nilda isn’t sure entirely what to get there. She gives her father a nod and runs off in that direction anyways though. Time to think quickly. The vampire vex’s cry makes her run even faster.
As she approaches the building, she hears a booming roar in the sky. Nilda doesn’t think she has ever seen a dragon quite that large. As it eats most of the swarm with a snap of it’s jaws, her eyes grow wider. She was definitely going to need a very large weapon. She runs inside of the shop, frantically looking for something that could be used to defend the village against this monster. She finds a few javelins. Well, that was the best she could work with. Poison… she probably couldn’t make something powerful enough to take down a creature so large. It would all be a drop in the bucket. However, she could maybe make something hurt and sting. A deterrent. She carries the javelins to a poisoner’s shop to treat the tips.

Garaile sputtered as the roar came across the village. The swarm would have been bad... but this? He turned and looked at Aria.
"This is your fault. Next time you mention that dragon that haphazardly, I'll have you flogged and treat the wounds with fish blood."
He looked around, noting that all his warriors and tribesmen were gawking at the dragon in the sky. His armor flared through all the colors, and he started shouting.
"Why are you all standing around gawking? Get your asses in gear and find something to hold off that dragon!"
Once more he turned to Aria.
"You're with me. If there's going to be bad luck, I want to be at the source of it."

The Doomfang's nostrils flared, ice and frost crept out around his navel cavities. A audible hiss could be heard as the group below scrambled about. However, the beast's red eyes remained focused on the red haired mortal below. Ah! His old 'snack' that got away. The Doomfang grumbled, now ignoring the vex's whom were scrambling about in terror. His jaw unhinging allowing the mortals below to take witness of his black jagged sharp teeth. With his mouth wide open, the Doomfang took in large gulps of air into his lungs. However, instead of exhaling the Doomfang paused. What was this? They had awaken a dragon? This was interesting indeed. Never had one so foolishly approached him and question where he hailed from. He closed his maw and ice crumbled out around the corner of his jaws once the air in his lungs dispelled. The Doomfang's eyes changed from the murderous red to a deep royal purple glow. He stared at Verix for a moment before suddenly letting out a bellowing roarish laugh. A laugh that could be translated in both in mortal tongue and in dragon. " I hail from my own nest hatchling. " He chuckled in a growling tone. His words carrying and translating in both draconic dialect and in human; merging together in a strange mesh of languages. " Where is the one who knows all! I smell his scent faintly on you and the bags of meat below. " The Doomfang roared, once again speaking in a tongue that both the mortal's below and the dragon before him could understand. His nostrils flaring up once more in a display of displeasure at the scene below.

Verix shook his head and looked at him. "I was doing some scouting, and one snuck out of my sight. Didn't know this was your territory. Eat them for all I care, but it seems mroe trouble than it's worth if you ask me." Came Verix's own voice, young compared to Doomfang, yet even as the dragon spoke, he maintained a hover nearby, the fangs about his neck tinkling together as he looked at him.
Verix would move out of Doomfang's way, if he wanted to eat the humans below, not like Verix cared or anything.

Post by Aria Wurud on Aug 24, 2014 4:24:24 GMT
Aria looked up as the other dragon took flight; well…at least that was up and awake…and it started talking to her old friend Doomfang. Her blue green gaze slid back down to the Murderous Tribe chief; a frown wedging its ways on to her features as her gaze narrowed. All playfulness and childlike spark gone and replaced with cold steel.
”One you brought up the subject, two if I had the power to summon that; then frankly I would do whatever I damn well pleased. Three if you feel the authority to do so then consider the act of paddling a declaration of war between my tribe and this….I will respect your rules while on your land but I will not be ordered around as if I were one of your men is that understood.”
Looming death or not she was not about to be belittled in front of her own men. She only rolled her eyes when she was ordered to stay near the chief on account she was bad luck.
”Yes Chief”
She stepped forward looking up at the large dragon approaching; her sword still by her side, the gem still giving off a pulsing blue glow. More so as she stepped forward. There was a visible relaxing in her shoulders when the glow of the creature’s eyes turned from red to purple….bad luck indeed…When he spoke she had to rub her ear with her free hand. Whenever he spoke it was a head ache waiting to happen. However when he mentioned he was looking for the one who knows all she turned her attention back to the chief.
”HA not entirely my fault so there!”
She turned back to Doomfang.
”He’s probably taking a long vacation in dontwannaseeyouville; Why do you seek him Doomfang, I thought you were content to spend your time in the Northern waters….and frankly I prefer cute bags of meat full of love and sparkles thank you very much.”
She saw the other dragon move out of the way her eyebrows quirking up.
”…..Should have gone with the sacrifice the dragon plan….”

Post by Nilda Ochoa on Aug 24, 2014 4:40:19 GMT
At the poisoners shop, Nilda works quickly but carefully. She grabs a few twigs from a jar and removes the sap from it, not getting a single drop on her hands. A painful irritant. Causes searing pain. She coats the tips of her javelins with it. Three poisoned javelins. Three chances. Three had hardly been a lucky number today so far though.
With her work down, she arrives outside to her the dragon’s booming voice. The fact that it could speak like a human left her surprised. Where is the one who knows all? The question confused her just the same. She darts into the cover of darkness provided by the surrounding shadows.
As the redhaired walking curse speaks to the dragon, she attempts to line up a shot. She calms her own breathing. She had only three, so she had to make it account. Should the first one miss, she would run until she found safety. She prays for Zepon to bless her shot with deadly precision before throwing it at the giant dragon.

Garaile just glared at the beast above.
"Damned demons! What in the name of Mylee? Doomfang can talk?!"
Garaile tried to visibly hide his shudder. His armor turned a bright yellow in color, and he put his fingers to his mouth, kissing the tips lightly. He then put them over his heart, and looked at Aria.
"Not saying you're to blame for this, clearly, but, as that dragon is moving away, do you really think sacrificing him would have worked? I mean, they look like, if not allies, two warriors giving each other grudging respect!"
Then it clicked in his head.
"You've talked to this thing before?!"
